All clear to take off. Now is the moment to soar!
DREAMWORKS’ HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON DLC IS THE FIRST STOP.
Even though I’m a native Scandinavian who can withstand the cold, sadly, very few people—read: nobody—seem to consider me a Viking. The irony is that when I play this DLC, I end myself on the island of Berk, which is home to dragons and Vikings.
I do not need to worry because Hiccup and Toothless are there to greet me, demonstrating that friendly dragons can also be found! However, I have to pass a test before I can begin any personal dragon training. First safety—I like that! Following instructions, I entered an arena through the gates only to discover that they had been closed behind me. Hold on. Something far bigger than anything I’ve ever seen appears at the other end…
I lied! I am merely a writer; I am not a true Viking! I yell at my screen, but it appears that Mojang Studios and Berk have distinct onboarding procedures. And now here I am, without even a pickaxe, imprisoned in a dragon-fighting arena. Even worse, I’m supposed to go up to this beast and feed it! With my arm out, I grudgingly crawl towards it, ready to discover if it consumes pebbles or if I’m the meal.
The next thing I know, we’re taking off and I’m up on its back! I make every effort to help this enormous beast avoid hazards and, well, survive. I quickly learned how to ride my first dragon, tame it, and get it to shoot fire at my foes. Be it Viking or not, I’m an expert!
There is no time to linger! Word has gotten out that I’m needed for a crucial and perilous expedition by the other Vikings. We’re determined to tame every species of dragon that exists. But I have to find them first. I set out with my newfound fire-breathing companion!
What comes next is an experience worthy of the runes. I’m sorry, but I’m unable to assist you if you haven’t yet mastered reading Viking. All you have to do is go to Berk and see for yourself! I will state, though, that not all dragons—gulp—eat rocks, and that not all people who pursue them are Vikings. However, Valka’s Mountain is a more spectacular sight than the Northern Lights and slabs of corroded copper put together! Visit More
Thus, am I truly a Viking? That remains highly uncertain. Nevertheless, DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon DLC is 33% off through December 24 if you want to test your Viking skills! At our next destination, the in-game Universal Studios Event, tomorrow, you can tell me everything about your scorched eyebrows.
